Will it really smell like beef?
No. Properly rendered tallow is mild and clean. The Whipped Balm is gently scented with organic lemon, eucalyptus, rosemary and cedarwood, what you'll notice is the forest, not the farm.
I have oily skin. Won't this break me out?
Tallow is naturally non-comedogenic and similar to your skin's own sebum, which means it tells overactive oil glands they can rest. Most oily-skin customers find their face quiets down within two weeks.
Is it safe for my baby?
Yes, and if you want unscented, our Baby balm is the same base with nothing added. The Whipped Balm itself is gentle enough for arms, legs, cheeks, and dry patches from day one.
What if it doesn't work for me?
If your first jar isn't right, send us a note within thirty days. We'll make it right, that's the whole point of crafting each jar specifically for you.
Why is it more expensive than drugstore lotion?
Because grass-fed tallow costs more than water. Because we make it ourselves, freshly for every order, with no shortcuts. And because one jar lasts most people 2 to 4 months.
How is this different from a body butter?
Body butters are usually shea or cocoa, sometimes whipped with synthetic emulsifiers. Tallow is the only ingredient your skin recognizes as its own, that's the difference you can feel.
